Amulet of the Eye of Horus

This famed amulet (also known as Utchat) in very common in Egypt and it is also universal in its appeal. Created out of several materials like gold, silver, granite, hæmatite, carnelian, crystals, lapis-lazuli, porcelain, and wood, this wonderful amulet is for all seasons. There are two types of Utchat:

One facing the left direction,

While the other facing the right

These two in conjunction, form the two eyes of Horus. In ancient scripture, one of these eyes was white, while the other was black in color. Some historians argue that one eye represents the Sun, while the other signifies the moon or god Ra and Osiris in mythological terms. When someone wears a Horus amulet, he or she will get many benefits like:

Strength

Vitality

Vigor

Courage

Protection

Safety

Excellent health

Riches and name

Sound mind

Fact: The amulet of Horus is close to the CLXVIIth Chapter of the Book of the Dead.
To make the best quality amulet, one needed to make it on Lapis-Lazuli, plate it with rich gold, and later offer it to the summer solstice. On the other hand, another needed to be from the jasper class and needs blessings with the specified chapter for placing over any part of the deceased body.

What They Say

Pic The amulet representing the Eye of Horus was called udjat, or “sound eye.” Because it was associated with the regeneration of Horus's eye, the Eye of Horus amulet was worn to ensure good health...."
