Amulet of Collar of Gold

This strange sounding amulet gave the deceased an immense strength and power to free oneself from the surrounding swathing. A priest conducts a ritual by placing the CLVIIIth Chapter of the Book of the Dead over the neck of the dead on the day of the funeral. Being very rare, this special amulet found its bearing in the period of the XXVIth dynasty, about B.C. 550.
