Amulet of the Papyrus Scepter

This amulet gave the dead enough energy, vitality, vigor and renewal of youth to survive the ordeals of the after life. Materials like emerald, light green or blue porcelain form the base of this amulet. This amulet relates to the text of CLIXth Chapter of the Book of the Dead and when the priests started reading the text, the amulet is placed over the neck on the funeral day. This amulet represents the god Isis, and the power of Isis comes from her father or the husband of Renenet, who is the deity of abundant harvest and food.
