Seth

A famous god the early Egypt, Seth is the Lord of the Lower Egypt; Seth is a wide-eared imaginary animal with reddish hued mane, looking like a donkey or a similar animals. Seth is a god of inhospitable deserts and deadly storms. For decades, Seth was the main benefactor of Lower parts of Egypt, just like Horus, who protected the Upper parts. The pharaohs of Lower Egypt considered Seth as their enemies, especially of Horus.
Seth had the following genealogy:

• Brother to Osiris, Isis and Nepthys
• Anubis was born from her association with Osiris.

Seth had no children in his entire lifetime and this signified his relation with barrenness and infertility. Seth had a momentous tryst with his brother Osiris, and his murder of his brother’s son, Horus. However, Horus survived the incident and took revenge for his father’s death, by sending Seth to the remotest part of Egyptian desert. This decision came from a council of gods ruled by Re. However, this case dragged on for more than 18 years and a decision was at hand only after Isis’ cunning intervention. However, Seth was never an evil god as everyone though him to be; in fact, he protected the sun barge of Re from the snakelike monster Apep, when Re took that arduous journey though the underworld.
